Born in Southern California to a mid-west family, Derek has a measured approach to everything. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from CalPoly San Luis Obispo. After graduation, Derek worked at SRI International for a decade before co-founding Purepost, a veteran employment company. Currently, he runs operations for Pohan’s Upholstery and does all things technology for Sean McFadden Design.

Derek is the perfect “ying” to Sean’s “yang” and together they have found Napa Valley their home. Outside of being amazing, Derek loves running, gardening, reading, and travel.
